This is a quiet little corner of the internet to allow me to pull together my various thoughts from across multiple platforms in one place, so anyone looking to collaborate with me knows what they are getting themselves into.
I’ve worked for over 30 years in commercial real estate, town centre regeneration, and placemaking at the intersection of public, private, and community interests.
Over the past seven years, after a leadership role at Revo and chairing the government’s High Streets Task Force, I’ve increasingly focused on public policy, systems change, promoting partnerships, and leadership.
I have successfully built and sold two commercial real estate businesses, most recently Ellandi, which was sold to NewRiver REIT in July 2024. Over 16 years, Ellandi undertook projects worth over £2 billion, gained B Corp status and won awards for inclusion, public-private partnership and entrepreneurship.
I now chair the Hartlepool Development Corporation and am studying for an MSc in Organisational and Social Psychology at LSE, alongside my ongoing consultancy work & investing in early-stage health and wellbeing businesses.
What unites it all is an interest in how places function and how people collaborate to transform them.
Whilst I am embracing a career pivot and am comfortable (honest), with having no idea what the future holds (and trying not to do too much - thanks Oliver Burkeman!) I am always open to conversation about interesting projects or contributing to articles and events, so please get in touch.
The worst thing I will say is no, but thanks for asking.
